Entering Stamperia Braghittoni, one is enveloped in the acetic scent of rust printing mixed with the smell of the sea. Since 1989, the year the printing house was taken over, our workshop has been a witness to an ancient art: the artisanal printing of Romagna fabrics, or rust printing, strictly performed by hand.

Romagna printing has a precious, never-disappeared tradition that originated in the East in ancient times, imported to Europe during the colonization of India and used in Romagna around the mid-eighteenth century for covering oxen paraded during liturgical celebrations and religious festivals.

In our artisanal printing house, we showcase the symbols and characteristic elements of maritime and rural life that become the protagonists of our prints. Roosters, vine shoots, ears of wheat, and rustic mugs alternate with fish, whales, dolphins, and other aquatic creatures.
