Beach services
The Cesenatico Beach Establishments Cooperative is committed to making the sea and beach truly accessible, gradually removing — and ultimately eliminating — cultural and architectural barriers that prevent everyone from fully enjoying this natural resource.
Free services include multifunctional wheelchairs to access the sea, walkways connecting the shore, internet stations for visually impaired visitors, and reserved sunbeds. Concrete measures that turn Cesenatico’s beaches into welcoming, people-friendly spaces for all.
Inclusive chairs and SUP
The Cesenatico Beach Establishments Cooperative, in addition to specialized staff, provides 20 wheelchairs for moving on the sand, JOB chairs for entering the water, dedicated equipment and even 2 adapted SUP (stand-up paddleboards) that allow people with disabilities to paddle safely under lifeguard supervision.
Each person with a disability is supported by a dedicated lifeguard tutor.
This free service, available from June 1, 2025 throughout the summer season, offers 1-hour sessions (including 40 minutes in the water). To book, simply contact the Cooperative at: 0547 83261 – 329 9396998
Specialized lifeguards
There are 13 certified lifeguards, all holding official lifesaving licenses and specialized theoretical and practical training, who have obtained special certification to best assist people with disabilities.
Their role is to welcome, accompany and ensure safety, creating a serene and inclusive experience. They work in synergy with nurses and healthcare staff at the first aid stations along the beaches.
Accessible IAT
Thanks to the regional project “In Emilia-Romagna there is a holiday for me”, Cesenatico is improving accessibility in Tourist Information Offices (IAT) and in major cultural sites such as the Maritime Museum and Casa Moretti.
Funded by the Italian Prime Minister’s Office, the initiative provides aids for visitors with motor, visual or sight impairments, making cultural and tourist services increasingly inclusive.
Each person with a disability is assigned a dedicated lifeguard tutor. This free service, active from 1 June 2025 for the entire summer season, includes 1-hour experiences (40 minutes of which in the water).
Maritime Museum – Antiquarium

Located in the oldest part of Cesenatico’s Canal Harbour, the museum’s floating section showcases prototypes of boats from the northern and central Adriatic. A Braille reading table is available. The adjacent onshore section exhibits seafaring artifacts, tools, and techniques of hull construction. The entire structure is accessible, with an elevator to the upper floor and accessible restrooms.

Casa Moretti

The house of writer Marino Moretti (1885–1979), bequeathed to the Municipality of Cesenatico to preserve its original furnishings, his library, and an archive of manuscripts and letters. The ground floor is accessible to visitors with disabilities.

Municipal theatre

The Municipal Theatre of Cesenatico is located in the historic center, on the western side of the Canal Harbour. The entrance is accessible up to the stalls and the first tier of boxes. Accessible restrooms are available on the first floor.

Municipal library “M. Moretti”

Founded in 1966, since 1974 the library has been housed in a building originally designed in 1938 as the Casa del Fascio by architect Saul Bravetti, and fully renovated between 2006 and 2008. The entire structure is accessible, with restrooms reserved for people with disabilities. Inside, there is a section dedicated to visually impaired visitors — currently being expanded — as well as a collection of audiobooks.
Municipal Art Gallery “Leonardo da Vinci”

Built in 1930 on the Levante quay of the canal harbour, the gallery is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities and equipped with an elevator to the upper floor. Accessible restrooms are also available.

Spazio Pantani

The Cathedral of Leaves and Rural Plants
Giardini al Mare, corner of Via Pasubio.
An artwork conceived by poet and artist Tonino Guerra and created by iron sculptor Aurelio Brunelli, consisting of a group of steel leaves about 3.5 meters high. The site is easy to access and fully accessible to all.

Ferris Wheel

The Rambelli Family Ferris Wheel is set up from April to the end of September in Piazza Andrea Costa, along Viale Carducci. The wheel includes a cabin accessible exclusively to people with disabilities, who are also entitled to free admission.
Parco Pubblico di Levante
Ingresso da Via dei Mille n°160 e Via Cesare Abba n°102 40 ettari di verde con alberi e arbusti tipici dell’ambiente marino. È disponibile area sgambamento cani recintata. Per le persone con disabilità è possibile accedere con auto nel parco da viale dei Mille n°156 fino al piazzale del ristorante. Il ristorante è dotato di servizi igienici riservati.
Parco Pubblico di Ponente
Via Mazzini n°160/170 13 ettari di verde completamente alberato, all’interno un campo da calcio, area intrattenimento e pic-nic, aree giochi bimbi, sentieri percorribili a piedi o in bicicletta.
Giardini al Mare
Percorso situato tra il mare e viale Carducci, costeggia gli stabilimenti balneari. È ideale per rilassarsi in un ambiente verde che si affaccia sul mare.

By taxi
The taxi service is based at the railway station, where a 9-seat minibus is available and accessible for people with disabilities.
When transporting passengers in wheelchairs, the capacity is reduced to 5 + 1.
Advance booking by phone is required (0547 81365) at least 48 hours before travel.
By train
Cesenatico Station is one of more than 270 accessible stations in Italy. Its reference Sala Blu (Blue Room assistance service) is Bologna Centrale. Assistance for passengers with disabilities is available.
