Cesenatico improves communication with LIS Interpreters and simultaneous translator

The Municipality of Cesenatico takes a decisive step towards inclusivity and integration. The digital interpreting service is now available with simultaneous translation from 150 foreign languages. The system, present at the IAT Office – Tourist Information in Viale Roma, using two connected tablets, allows communication between operators and users thanks to an automatic simultaneous translation service. This support is invaluable and becomes fundamental for welcoming guests and tourists.

The same device also activates the digital interpreting service called "TELLIS" which will allow deaf Italian people to communicate with office employees thanks to a remotely connected LIS interpreter for both in-person appointments and phone calls, representing an absolute novelty.
TELLIS is an innovative digital interpreting service specialized in telecommunications, which, thanks to the mediation of highly qualified and remotely connected LIS (Italian Sign Language) interpreters, guarantees deaf people equal communication opportunities compared to hearing people, for example, to request information.

The translation and interpreting service is also active at the Public Relations Office at the Municipality of Cesenatico and in the offices of the Municipal Police in via Marconi.
