Races on natural tracks, climbing, obstacles to overcome, mud, weight carrying, pull-ups: these are called obstacle course races, obstacle races for truly trained physiques.
In Sala di Cesenatico, the first and largest outdoor training area in Italy opens, with 8,500 square meters dedicated specifically to OCR. It is located at via Campone Sala 449, and is managed by the amateur sports association Lupi di Sparta (Sparta Wolves), affiliated with the Italian Sports Culture Association, among the first sports organizations in Italy to promote obstacle course race training.
Eleven thousand square meters of equipped areas, 8,500 of which are dedicated solely to OCR, 1,200 meters of linear track, 24 obstacles, and 500 meters of “nature fitness”: an unprecedented training area that the sports technicians of Lupi di Sparta will open to the public with a demonstration of the Spartan Race (the most formidable of obstacle course races), race simulation, and meetings with a physiotherapist, nutritionist, and instructors for the warm-up phases. The area will also be open to four-legged friends, for whom a canine expert will be available.
