EUROPEAN GIRLS OLYMPIAD IN INFORMATICS

In spring 2026, Cesenatico will be at the center of the international innovation scene, hosting, from May 12 to 18, the first European Girls Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) ever organized in Italy.

The EGOI represent the most important informatics competition dedicated to high school female students and will bring to the city approximately 65 international delegations, from all over Europe and non-European countries such as the United States, Canada, and Japan, for an estimated total of about 475 attendees including athletes, team leaders, guides, and organizational staff.

The event will combine two days of technical competition, focused on algorithmic problem-solving, with moments dedicated to tourism, culture, and socialization, with the aim of promoting female scientific excellence and showcasing the territory and the City.

The event will be attended by representatives of the National Competitive Programming Association (ANPC), the event organizer, technology sector sponsors, and local institutional authorities.
