Giro d’Italia Women 2026: it starts from Cesenatico
The Giro d’Italia Women is ready to write a new chapter in its history. The 36th edition of the women's Corsa Rosa will kick off on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from Cesenatico, a symbolic location for world cycling, birthplace of Marco Pantani, the unforgettable Pirate and icon of two wheels.
The start in Romagna will launch a route that will cross Italy until the final arrival on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Saluzzo, Piedmont. This edition promises to be even more challenging than in the past: there will be nine stages, one more than in 2025, for a total of 1,153.7 kilometers and 12,500 meters of total elevation gain.
The Giro will open with a first stage of 139 kilometers, designed to immediately bring rhythm and spectacle to the race. A balanced but selective route, which will test the best athletes on the international scene from the very first days.
The official route confirms the organizers' desire to continue growing the Giro d’Italia Women, enhancing territories, cycling tradition, and high-level competition.
