Saturday, September 12, 2026, Cesenatico pays tribute to its champion with the Pantani Memorial, the professional cycling race which, year after year, has established itself as a true classic of the international calendar. Organized by G.S. Emilia, the race celebrates the memory of Marco Pantani, an timeless icon of international cycling.
The 195 km long route will start at 11:30 AM from Viale Carducci, in front of Piazza Marconi, a place that also houses the monument dedicated to the “Pirate”. After passing through Sala di Cesenatico, the route will lead the riders towards Cesena, where the Cesena/Diolaguardia circuit awaits them, to be tackled five times. The special classification at stake will be decided precisely on the GPM of Diolaguardia.
Once the circuit laps are completed, the race will continue downhill towards Calisese and then head, in the last 20 km, towards the heart of Cesenatico. The grand finale will be entrusted to the traditional city circuit, with two long straightaways to be repeated four times, until the finish line in Viale Carducci, near the Pantani monument: a suggestive epilogue, in the spirit of remembrance and cycling passion.
An event that combines sport, memory, and spectacle, keeping alive the bond between the city and its unforgettable champion.
