Bike Itinerary: from the sea of Cesenatico to the hills with Dalia Muccioli

By bike with Dalia Muccioli for a tour around Cesenatico to discover the hill villages.

Behind Cesenatico, green hills await us to discover small treasures linked to the Romagna tradition. So, together with Dalia Muccioli, Italian cycling champion and an excellent guide for bike itineraries in our area, we rode along roads with gentle slopes through nature, olive groves, vineyards, and villages with wonderful fortresses overlooking bucolic landscapes. This is the video of the medium-difficulty itinerary; those accustomed to cycling can challenge themselves by following the roads indicated by Dalia's itinerary.

“From the blue of the sea to the green of the Romagna hills” with Dalia is a Cesenatico-Cesenatico itinerary passing through the green hills. Perfect for intermediate-level cyclists. 54 km touching Cesenatico – Montiano –  Montenovo – Santa Paola Roncofreddo – Longiano – Cesenatico. A few words must be spent to describe some of these villages like Montiano, Roncofreddo, and Longiano. Places where time seems to have stopped, where it's pleasant to refresh oneself in the village square, taking some photos of the fortresses and the panorama. In Longiano, it's a must to reach the castle to look out from the “balcony” and, together with the statue of a maiden, enjoy the cool breeze and the distant view of the sea. And yes, what pops up is indeed the Cesenatico skyscraper. Longiano is the last stop before returning to a symbolic place for Cesenatico. Piazza Marconi, a stone's throw from the sea, is a pilgrimage destination. In the center, in fact, there is the monument to Marco Pantani, Cesenatico's unforgettable and unforgettable pirate of two wheels.
