In the footsteps of Pantani: itinerary in Cesenatico

1. Museum - Spazio Pantani
   The tour starts from Spazio Pantani, where you can retrace Marco's life from his beginnings to touch upon the main stages and honor his career thanks to photos, videos, trophies, memorabilia, and other materials. A multimedia museum that was created thanks to the Pantani Family, the Municipality of Cesenatico, and the Marco Pantani Foundation. The museum is located near Cesenatico Station and is managed by the family; funds collected through museum visits are donated to charity. It is also possible to purchase gadgets, books, clothing, and other items at the shop.
2. Monument to Marco Pantani
   In Piazza Marconi stands the monument dedicated to the Romagna champion. A life-size statue that portrays him precisely on his bicycle, his immense passion. A bronze sculpture, created in 2005 by Emanuela Pierantozzi, pays homage to the greatness of one of Italy's most important sportsmen.
3. Tomb
   To visit the tomb of the famous “Pirate,” simply go to the monumental cemetery of Cesenatico: upon entering, signage indicating the path makes it easy and functional to reach the family tomb. A simple but elegant monument, whose spiral shape recalls the winding road Marco cycled and honors his memory over the years. A touching moment of farewell that warms everyone's heart.
4. Family Piadineria
   A small final curiosity: in Via Torino, you can find the piadineria that was once directly managed by the Pantani family, now in the hands of other owners. A destination for many fans, it is certainly a very nice way to remember him and to taste piadina, a typical Romagna dish, and perhaps, by asking for advice, order the “Pirate's” favorite.
