The Pantani Space: a journey into the life of the cyclist

To embark on a journey through the memories of the life and career of the Italian champion cyclist, the Pantani Space is definitely the starting point. Created to keep alive the presence of the great “Pirate”, it was born from the Pantani family, who still manage it, from the Municipality of Cesenatico and from the Marco Pantani Foundation.
The Museum, located next to Cesenatico Railway Station, is one of the places that daily sees the presence of many people paying homage to the Romagna Champion.

Let's embark on a virtual tour together to discover the museum's rooms.

The 3 areas of the museum are named after the mountains, which most characterized Marco Pantani's career: Mortirolo, Alpe d'Huez and Bocchetta.

Mortirolo Room: the room of memories
The Mortirolo Room includes a wide display of material and memorabilia belonging to Marco. Bicycles, in particular his CustomBike, jerseys, trophies, and photographic material from his early days, the 1998 Tour de France and Giro d'Italia accompany visitors, allowing them to retrace the most significant stages of his sporting life. The room also includes a shop, which allows for the distribution of informational material and the sale of gadgets.

Alpe d’Huez Room: the multimedia room
The second area, Alpe d'Huez Room, has a cinema room with 50 seats with continuous screenings and 8 multimedia stations, where each visitor can choose and request videos or other multimedia material. This room also features display cases with Marco's objects and photos. Cups, jerseys, and bicycles from the '94, '95, '96, and '99 seasons, and the blue jerseys that represent his sporting life. Furthermore, in this room, it is possible to admire memories of his artistic life: the paintings created by Marco, a collection of musical pieces dedicated to him, and his writings.

Bocchetta Room: the events room
The third area, Bocchetta Room, includes a terrace where events and manifestations are organized, especially during the summer months.
In all rooms, there are 2 TVs, where the Pirate's feats are projected.

So, ready to get in the saddle to discover the life and successes of the Pirate, told precisely by the objects that were part of his career?
